It worked!! Logitech Usb Mouse Not Working Mac I have been struggling with this issue for weeks, finally giving up with a work around (crappy old Dell USB keyboard). Still a part of me likes to know why this issue isn't solved yet by Apple. I installed SteerMouse and it's working fine now.

Worked for my MacBook Pro 2014 model, as well. It worked great under Snow Leopard, then Lion, then Mountain Lion but with Mavericks… I get it working from time to time but after many disconnect/connect operations. The mouse lights red when I plug it in so it has power. It works after reboot.
