I had tried all manner of solutions including hubs and 3rd party keyboards. i have done multiple smc resets without success. Worked for my MacBook Pro 2014 model, as well. So as I didn't have an extension cable I tried plugging my printer to the keyboard and turning the printer on. Tried a couple of things, but this worked. Great solution, Thank you guys… 🙂 On 15 Mar 2016 at 12:45, Joanna said: Thanks!

The Bluetooth set-up window came up searching for the bluetooth keyboard that came with the iMac that we have stuffed in a drawer (why doesn’t apple make a full-sized bluetooth keyboard?). Turn off your keyboard, and turn it back on.
