I took it to a tech friend of mine who got the keys to work using the Control + Option + P + R. All I did was change the bat tiers out on my keyboard and it won't connect to my apple keyboard? You can now release the power button, type the pairing code on the keyboard and then press return. That isn't a function of the keyboard though, its a function of OS X. my shift and brightness buttons don't wok, i have died all troubleshooting. Also, there are multiple places on OS X where keyboard behaviour can be modified, i.e.
