I have tried changing the audio for the xbox 360 and for the tv and nothing is working. Make sure the console audio settingsare correct for your combination of TV and cables.

You could buy the AV cable MS sells and get the better HDMI picture and still get sound but that degrades HDMI because its supposed to carry audio too.
